Expanded Macro Collection

Thirteen practical Confluence macros for governance, content discovery and admin reporting. One app, one subscription.

Confluence Runs on Atlassian

Expanded Macro Collection turns Confluence into a governed, navigable, audit-ready knowledge base without leaving your pages. Capture per-version policy sign-offs with a one-click audit export, classify sensitive pages with a banner that survives PDF and Word export, surface the backlinks Confluence cannot show you, and give admins permission-aware rollups of page status, staleness and content health.

  • Runs on Atlassian
  • Built on Forge
  • Permission aware throughout
  • Stores sign-off records by design

Why Expanded Macro Collection

What teams actually get out of it.

Prove your policies were read

Per-version acknowledgements with an editor-only roster and a one-click CSV export for auditors. Publish a new version and the clock resets.

Answer what Confluence cannot

Confluence's own search cannot index link targets, so it cannot tell you what links to a page. This app maintains its own link index and can.

One collection, one subscription

Thirteen macros today, and new ones are added at no extra cost rather than sold as a second app.

Governance and compliance

  • Sign-off and Acknowledgement: per-version signer records, an editor-only roster, and a space-wide audit export
  • Page Classification Banner: Public, Internal, Confidential or Restricted, stamped into PDF and Word exports
  • Content Visibility: restrict who sees part of a page, by user or by space role

Navigation and discovery

  • Referenced By: real backlinks, cross-space and permission-aware
  • Related Pages: ranked by shared connections in the link graph
  • Numbered Headings: automatic numbering on the page and in exports

Admin reporting

  • Status Rollup Report: page statuses counted across a space or tree, with drill-down
  • Stale Content Report: pages untouched for 30, 90, 180 or 365 days, oldest first
  • Advanced Children Display: sortable, filterable child-page tables
  • Page Metadata Card: author, dates, version, word count and labels

Authoring

  • Page Status Badge: a click-to-advance workflow status, configurable per space
  • Review Reminder: a warning when a page has not been updated in time
  • PDF Page Divider: a forced page break in PDF export

See it in action

Expanded Macro Collection at a glance.

  • One app, thirteen macros. Typing EMC in the Confluence macro browser brings up the whole collection, and new macros join it at no extra cost.

  • A policy page carrying both governance macros: a Confidential classification banner that survives PDF and Word export, and a per-version acknowledgement that records who has read it.

  • Referenced By listing the eight pages that link to this handbook. Confluence search cannot index link targets, so this is a question the product itself cannot answer.

Data and permissions

What the app can see, and what it keeps.

This is the one app in our range that stores personal data, and it does so deliberately. A sign-off record is only worth having if it names who acknowledged which version and when, so the Sign-off and Acknowledgement macro keeps exactly that. Page status and classification are stored as Confluence content properties, which means Confluence enforces the permissions and deletes them with the page. Everything runs inside Atlassian, and nothing is sent anywhere else.
